Working long hours or being out during the day can be daunting for your fur baby. That’s why Rocky Gorge is happy to offer Doggy Day Care.

We provide pet daycare with a structured environment that allows your dog to interact with other dogs of similar age, size and temperament.

Dogs must be up to date with Canine Flu, Rabies, Distemper/Parvo & Bordetella vaccinations and a negative fecal exam within the past 12 months. If your pet is overdue for the required vaccines please schedule a visit with a veterinarian to update any vaccines prior to making a reservation for doggy day care.

Our process differs slightly for adult dogs and puppies. Please read below for more info:

Adult Dogs

On your dog’s first day with us, our trained staff will conduct an assessment to make sure that Doggy Day Care is a good fit.

After a successful assessment, regular Doggie Doggy Day Care reservations will be permitted. A written report card will be sent home with your dog on a regular basis so that you can easily track their progress in Doggy Day Care. Dogs over 6 months of age must be neutered or spayed.

Puppies

All puppies must be up to date on their vaccinations: Rabies, Distemper, Bordetella, Canine Influenza, and a clean Fecal Exam. After 6 months of age, dogs must be neutered or spayed.

After 10 days your dog will receive 1 free day of Doggy Day Care. See our daycare packages below.

A typical daily schedule

Schedule of Events

As long as the weather permits, activities are held outdoors in our wooded, fenced-in dog park. Rocky Gorge also has an indoor playroom for days with poor weather conditions. On occasion, special events and activities are planned for our doggy day care guests.

Check-In (7am–10am)

Dogs are welcomed, food and treats are placed in their cubby and their assigned room is prepped.

Playtime (9am–12pm)

Team members take our day care guests to the dog park (weather permitting) for playtime and games. Large dogs and small dogs are separated for their safety.

Lunch & Quiet Time (12pm–1pm)

After the dog park, it’s time for some rest and relaxation. Those pets that require lunch and snacks are fed, guests are given fresh water, and everyone retires to their respective rooms for quiet time. The Resort feeds a chicken based diet.

Playtime (1pm–4pm)

The fun begins again for our guests as they return to the dog park for playtime. Guests scheduled for a tidy up bath or nail trim will have their services during this time. relaxation. Those pets that require lunch and snacks are fed, guests are given fresh water, and everyone retires to their respective rooms for quiet time.

Pick Up (4pm–8pm)

Typically guests begin their trek home with their pet parents starting around 4pm. Those pets that require dinner are fed at this time, guests are given fresh water, and nap as they wait to be picked up.

Pick up times differ on weekends. Saturday pick ups are at 3:30pm and Sunday pickups are at 11:30am.
