Grooming Services at Rocky Gorge Resort & Spa

Whether your pet needs a simple nail trim or a complete makeover, the experienced stylists in our grooming spa will pamper your pet. We take the time we need with every groom to keep your pet relaxed and comfortable.

Grooming services are available every day except Sunday. Evening appointments are available on Thursdays. Our stylists are experienced in cutting all breeds of dogs and cats and we can also hand strip terriers if you prefer.

Bathing with the HydroSurge bathing system provides a deep cleaning of the skin and coat, a hydro massage effect and a thorough, complete rinsing that helps keep your pet cleaner, longer.

You can choose a bath & brush, a tidy, or a full-service groom depending upon your pet's coat and condition. All services include trimming the nails, cleaning the ears, and externally expressing the anal glands. Upgraded shampoos, conditioners and polishing the nails are available at an additional cost.

A bath & brush service is usually best for short-haired dogs that don't generally require haircuts. Regular professional bathing is beneficial for the skin and coat and will reduce shedding. If your pet is a heavy shedder, ask about our de-shedding package, which includes a special de-shed shampoo and conditioner and raking the coat.

A tidy is a bath and trim service. Your pet is bathed, dried, brushed out and the hair around the face, feet and sanitary area is trimmed.

A full-service groom includes a bath, drying, brush out, and an all-over haircut or trim. A spa package, which includes an upgraded shampoo, a conditioner, and tooth brushing is also available at an additional cost.

We give special attention to older and timid pets. We take care to keep the pet comfortable and calm. For truly difficult cases tranquilizing and sedating can be arranged through our veterinary offices on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays if required.

For your pet's protection and the protection of our other guests, we require all pets to be current on basic vaccines. For dogs, we require current rabies, distemper/parvo, and bordetella vaccines. For cats, we require current rabies and feline distemper vaccines.

If your pet is lodging in the resort, don't forget to schedule a visit to the grooming spa on the last day of your pet's stay. You will not be charged for lodging that day if you pick your pet up from the grooming spa and he or she does not return to lodging.

No make-over is complete without a spritz of cologne and a bow or bandana. These finishing touches are always free.

Come visit the Rocky Gorge Resort and Grooming Spa. Let your dogs enjoy the spacious rooms in the Laurel Lodge or a fun day of romping with their canine cohorts in Doggy Day Camp. Add a makeover at our grooming spa where they luxuriate in the Hydro Surge bathing system for an extra deep cleansing.

How about a sleepover?

Our caring and attentive guest services team will look after your canine and feline companions. Our overnight canine guests are walked at least four times daily with at least one visit to our private dog park for a game of catch or tag. We're more than happy to brush your pet daily and love to give any special attention that will keep your pet happy and relaxed. Feline visitors have their own spacious and bright accommodations, separate from our canine guests. Meals are prepared to your specifications in the resort kitchen. Yes, we will warm the canned food in the microwave if that is how our guests prefer it.

Good Morning, Campers!

After passing a temperament assessment, your canine kids may attend Doggy Day Camp for a chance to play and socialize in both indoor and outdoor free play (weather permitting). Sign up for a full day of play, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., or a half-day, morning or afternoon. Each day, the campers run and play together in our private dog park, romp in the rumpus room, enjoy treats, and take a mid-day break for story hour. We guarantee tired puppies going home. Happy parents tell us that their campers can't wait to come back.

Visit the Rocky Gorge Pet Boutique in the resort reception area. We feature Purina Pro Plan foods for dogs, cats, puppies, and kittens. You'll find a colorful variety of Lupine collars, leashes, and harnesses which have a life-time guarantee, plus toys, sweaters, resort wear, and yummy chews. We also have Tropiclean shampoos, conditioners, and colognes to keep you pet "fresh from the spa" clean. All of the merchandise is offered at very competitive prices.
