Offering tender loving veterinary care to the local community since 1950, Rocky Gorge Animal Hospital remodeled and opened a new state-of-the-art facility in March of 2008. The new Rocky Gorge Animal Hospital, Resort, & Spa is like nothing else found in the Baltimore-Washington area. It is one of the most advanced animal care facilities in the Mid-Atlantic region.

"I'm excited to be able to offer the most cutting edge services to our current and new patients and guests with the advances we have made in both technology and space," says Hospital Director and Owner, Dr. Steven Wolchinsky. This challenging project is a long time dream of his, which strives to integrate the old fashioned Veterinary practice of yesterday into a progressive, technologically advanced Hospital, Resort, and Spa. "My mission is to merge that time-honored past with a promising new future. We offer only the best for our Hospital patients, our Resort patrons, and their owners."

Because we realize that your time is as valuable as ours, we have created separate check-in and check-out areas specialists trained to handle the pharmacy, food purchases, boarding, grooming and doggy daycare in order to efficiently serve you. We respect your time and want to reduce wait time as much as possible.

The Hospital features two state of the art surgical suites, a dental suite with two tables and digital dental radiography, ICU or intensive care units-equipped for oxygen and heat therapy, two wet top tables and two dry top tables for patient treatment stations, and a full service laboratory and centralized pharmacy facility.

Rocky Gorge Animal Hospital has a full range of diagnostic tools that include digital radiography, and ultrasound, which will allows our Healthcare Team to diagnose diseases quickly and with less invasive procedures. The Hospital is equipped with digital cameras and digital blue tooth monitoring. These allow our Healthcare Team to monitor surgical and ICU patients from other parts of the Hospital and even off the premises.

We have designed the Hospital to be able to provide 24 hour nursing care. Security and safety is a concern today more than ever and our technology addresses those concerns, as it monitors everything that occurs in or outside our hospital. This security system safeguards you, your pet and our Hospital and Resort Team.

The entire Team of Rocky Gorge views the technological advances as ways to better care for pets and become more accessible to their owners.
