Dr. Steven A. Wolchinsky
Dr. Wolchinsky is a native of
Brooklyn, New York and has
worked at Rocky Gorge Animal Hospital for the past 18 years.
He is the owner of the hospital and has been running the day to
day veterinary operations for the past 8 years. His goal is to
continue to run the hospital with the old fashion values that Dr.
Morley began and still offer all the conveniences of a modern
hospital. He attended Louisiana State University School of
Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Wolchinsky is married and has two
sons, a daughter, two dogs, two cats and a bird.
Dr.
Sallie E. Morris
Dr. Morris holds a D.V.M. degree from Texas A & M (1975).
Her hobbies include anything animal related; with a special interest
in horses, Dobermans, animal chiropractic and homeopathy. Dr.
Morris has been dedicated to Rocky Gorge for almost 25 years.
We feel lucky to have someone with her surgical expertise on our
team. Dr.
Morris is married; with 2 daughters, more than 20 horses, 3
Dobermans,
3 cats, 6 geese, and 2 white doves.
Dr.
Karen Farnan
Dr. Farnan is from Annapolis,
Maryland. She received her D.V.M. degree from the Virginia
Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in Blacksburg,
Virginia. Dr. Farnan has worked at Rocky Gorge since
1994. She is married and has a son, twin daughters and 3 cats.
Dr. Sondra Oliver
Dr. Oliver is from New Orleans,
LA. She received a B.S. both in Zoology and Pharmacy with a
minor in art from L.S.U. She holds a D.V.M. from Blacksburg,
VA. Before joining Rocky Gorge, Dr. Oliver worked at an animal
hospital in Boston. Prior to that, she worked as a research
pharmacist at John Hopkins Oncology Pharmacy. Her interests
include the outdoors - hiking, camping, canoeing and skiing.
She also enjoys art and painting as well as Mardi Gras.
Dr. Melissa Springer
Dr. Springer lives in Columbia, with
her husband, sons, 2 dogs, 2 cats, and her fish. She enjoys movies,
reading and traveling.
Dr. Marissa Pasekoff
Dr. Pasekoff is from Miami,
Fl. She received her Bachelors in 1996 from The University of
Maryland College Park and graduated from The University of Florida
College of Veterinary Medicine in 2000. In her spare time, Dr.
Pasekoff enjoys reading, music and spending time with her husband,
daughters and 2 dogs.
Our staff loves pets. We
understand that special bond which exists between pets and their
owners. In fact, all of us have loving animals of our own. Our staff
works as a team caring for all of our patients.
